FCCU Raises More Than $3,000 For Safe & Homeless Shelters
11/05/2021
Employees of FCCU recently held fundraisers for their 2021 third quarter charity. FCCU was able to raise more than $3,000 and donate more than 800 pairs of socks for local safe and homeless shelters and Salvation Army centers.
Each quarter FCCU’s 250 employees choose an organization to support by raising money and awareness. To support the local safe and homeless shelters, FCCU held a variety of fundraisers including sock drives, potlucks, online staff bingo, Life is Better with Jeans & Fancy Feet casual fundraiser day, and Friday Jeans money.
Funds raised throughout the quarter went to benefit Salvation Army Centers across North Dakota and Minnesota including Bismarck-Mandan, Fargo-Moorhead, Grand Forks, Jamestown and Devils Lake. The Salvation Army offers many programs and services in addition to meals and helping those in need meet basic needs. Services vary by location, but examples include counseling, crisis intervention, rent and utility assistance and seasonal assistance.
