FCCU Hosts Inaugural Foundation Event
10/06/2026
The FCCU Foundation’s inaugural ‘Dueling for a Difference’ event brought more than 160 community members together for an evening of entertainment, connection and giving. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended and supported the event, the Foundation exceeded its fundraising goal and took an exciting first step toward advancing its mission in the communities FCCU serves.
Held Saturday, September 26 at the Jamestown Civic Center, the event featured an evening of music and entertainment from Fun Pianos! In addition, there were auctions, ‘Heads or Tails’ raffles, a signature cocktail and opportunities for guests to support the newly established FCCU Foundation.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support Dueling for a Difference,” said Susan Long Swen, Senior Community & Events Specialist. “The generosity and enthusiasm we saw throughout the evening were a wonderful reflection of the communities we serve. Exceeding our goal is an exciting start for the FCCU Foundation and will allow us to further our commitment to making a positive difference in the communities we call home.”
The FCCU Foundation was established to strengthen FCCU’s commitment to community investment and provide support in three key areas: community enrichment, education, and health and stability. Funds raised through Dueling for a Difference will help advance that mission and support future opportunities to make an impact throughout the communities FCCU serves. One way the FCCU Foundation plans to do this is through community impact grants in 2027.

The success of the event would not have been possible without the support of the community. FCCU extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who attended, contributed, sponsored, volunteered or helped spread the word about Dueling for a Difference.
The FCCU Foundation looks forward to building on the momentum of this first event and continuing to bring people together to create meaningful, lasting impact.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Dueling for a Difference a success.
