Dive Into Savings!

Each year, FCCU celebrates Youth Week to encourage saving among our youth and the importance of proper money management. This year, FCCU's Youth Week will be held August 3–7, 2026.

Be sure to check out what's happening at your local branch!

• Bismarck – August 5 – Stop by our Mandan branch for a free single scoop dish from FOMO 10/40 Creamery and giveaways from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Crookston – August 4 – Join us at Night to Unite at the UMC campus! Stop by the branch for freezie treats all week and register to win swim passes for the Crookston pool and Happy Joe's pizza coupons.
• Devils Lake – August 3–  Join us for a party at Roosevelt Park Shelter from 5:30 - 7:30p.m on Monday, August 3rd. Hotdogs and hamburgers grilled by the Devils Lake Rural Fire Department, games and treats.
• Fargo Region (Fargo Northland, Fargo 45th & Fargo 52nd) – August 5 – Enjoy a day at the Red River Zoo. Bring your postcard or mention FCCU Youth Week for free youth admission from 3:00–6:00 p.m. Plus, stop by the FCCU table for treats and giveaways.
• Grand Forks – August 4 – Stop by our Grand Forks branch for a free regular cone or cup from Snowie Grand Forks and giveaways from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Hankinson – August 3–7 – Stop by the branch all week for free cone slips to Dakota Drive-In.
• Jamestown – August 6 – Join us at Party Crashers for a pizza party from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
• Kindred – Stop in all week to register for a fun kids' basket, giveaways and cookies. Join us Friday for root beer floats. Plus, look for our TBD Kids Business Passport stop on Friday.
• Lakota – August 4 – Stop by the Lakota Park & Pool to get a free treat from the E & J Ice Cream Truck from 1:00–3:00 p.m.
• Larimore – August 5 – Stop by the Larimore pool to get free ice cream and drinks. 
• Mandan – August 5 – Stop by our Mandan branch for a free single scoop dish from FOMO 10/40 Creamery and giveaways from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Milnor – August 3–7 – Kids can enjoy themed sidewalk chalk art outside the branch. Stop in all week for a coupon for an ice cream treat at The Keg.
• Moorhead – August 6 – Join us for a community lunch, a free treat from the Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck and giveaways from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Napoleon – August 6 – Stop by the branch between 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. for treats, giveaways and Guess the Penny Jar. Pick up a coloring page and return it for a treat. Any youth who makes a deposit will automatically be entered to win a door prize.
• Oakes – August 6 – The Feel Good Foods mobile smoothie bar will be serving smoothie bowls from 2:00–3:00 p.m. Stop by the branch with your postcard for a ticket or bring your postcard the day of the event.
• Page – August 3–7 – Stop by the Page branch for an ice cream treat.
• Portland – August 3–7 – Stop by the branch for treats and giveaways.
• St. John – August 4th & 6th – Stop by the St. John branch for root beer floats, giveaways and register for prizes on Tuesday and Thursday.
• Steele – August 3–7 – Stop by the branch during the week for treats, giveaways and register to win a door prize.
• Valley City – August 4 – Stop in the branch for ice cream floats from 2:00–4:00 p.m.
• Wahpeton – August 5 – Join us Wednesday at the Chahinkapa Zoo from 3:30–6:00 p.m. Free admission for the whole family. Look for the FCCU table for dinner, refreshments, treats and giveaways.
• Wishek – August 3–7 – Stop by the branch for a gift and a free ice cream cone coupon for McTwist.

Eligible accounts will receive a one-time bonus of $50 when the parent or legal guardian has an open and active FCCU checking account at the time of account opening, or $25 when no qualifying checking relationship exists. An active checking account is defined as having recurring direct deposits totaling $250 or more and consistent transactional activity. Account opening bonuses are credited at the time of account opening and are limited to one bonus per eligible youth member. 3) To qualify for the $25 Smart Start Reward, the MyFirst Savings account must receive at least ten (10) deposits of $10 or more within the first 12 months following account opening. Qualifying rewards will be deposited into eligible accounts within 60 days after the one-year anniversary. Limit one Smart Start Reward per account.
