Dueling for a Difference

Our first annual FCCU Foundation event and fundraiser is taking place on September 26th in Jamestown, ND. Join us for an evening filled with music, laughter, and celebration! Enjoy the high-energy fun of Fun Pianos! dueling pianos, delicious food, bar, exciting auctions, and so much more. Gather your friends for a night of entertainment, giving back and making a difference all while supporting our communities.

The Pillars of the FCCU Foundation

The FCCU Foundation is committed to creating lasting impact by investing in the people and places that make our communities stronger. Through our three pillars: Education, Community Enrichment, and Health & Stability, we provide resources and opportunities that empower individuals, enrich local communities, and help build a brighter future for generations to come.

Grant Requests

The grant request platform will launch in January 2027. Grant applications will be reviewed quarterly by the Foundation Board. Check back soon for application details and updates.

About the Foundation

What is the First Community Credit Union Foundation? 
The First Community Credit Union Foundation is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation created to support initiatives that strengthen the communities we serve. Through thoughtful giving and partnerships, the Foundation invests in opportunities that create lasting impact. 

Why was the Foundation created? 
The Foundation was created to expand FCCU’s longstanding commitment to community by providing additional resources and support to organizations and initiatives that make a meaningful difference. 

Who does the Foundation support? 
The Foundation supports eligible nonprofit organizations and community initiatives within its service area that align with its funding priorities.

When will grant applications open? 
The First Community Credit Union Foundation grant request platform will launch in January 2027. 

How often are grant requests reviewed? 
Grant requests will be reviewed quarterly by the First Community Credit Union Foundation Board. 

How do I apply for a grant? 
Once the grant platform launches, organizations will be able to submit requests online through the Foundation website. Application guidelines and requirements will be available at that time.

Who is eligible to apply for a grant? 
Grant opportunities will be available to eligible nonprofit organizations and community initiatives within the Foundation’s service area. Additional eligibility details will be available when applications open. 

What types of projects does the Foundation support? 

The Foundation supports initiatives that create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities we serve. Funding priorities are focused on three key areas:

  • Community Enrichment: Supporting programs, organizations, and facilities that enhance the vibrancy, connection, and quality of life across our communities.
  • Education: Investing in learning opportunities that empower groups and individuals of all ages to build brighter futures.
  • Health & Stability: Strengthening organizations and initiatives that promote physical, emotional, and financial well-being within our communities.

Grant requests are evaluated based on alignment with these focus areas, community impact, and available funding.

Are individuals eligible to receive grants? 
No. The Foundation does not provide grants directly to individuals. Funding is intended to support eligible nonprofit organizations and community initiatives. 

Supporting the Foundation

How can I support the First Community Credit Union Foundation? 
There are many ways to support the Foundation, including attending events, becoming a sponsor, making a contribution, or partnering with us to help strengthen our communities. 

Are donations to the Foundation tax deductible? 
Yes. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, eligible contributions to the First Community Credit Union Foundation may be tax deductible. Donors should consult their tax advisor for specific guidance. 

Where does Foundation funding come from? 
The First Community Credit Union Foundation was established through the support and commitment of First Community Credit Union and is strengthened through contributions, partnerships, sponsorships, and community support. Together, these investments allow the Foundation to expand its reach and create meaningful, lasting impact in the communities we serve.

What events does the Foundation host?
The Foundation hosts fundraising and community engagement events designed to bring people together while supporting initiatives that strengthen our communities. Our signature annual event, Dueling for a Difference with Fun Pianos, brings together community members, businesses, and supporters for an evening of entertainment and impact.
