2024 Living the Brand and Volunteer of the Year awards
12/27/2024
We are excited to announce the 2024 winners of our annual Living the Brand and Volunteer of the Year awards!
Each year, FCCU has a "Living the Brand" Award where we recognize an individual who exemplifies what it means to live out our brand. The award winner is selected through a nomination process in which the following are considered: passion for their work, community contributions, member service with uncompromising integrity and embracing a growth-mindset. In essence, our values guide them every step of the way.
In 2024, Alex Fortney, Ag/Commercial Lender in Devils Lake, was selected as the recipient of the Living the Brand award. Alex was nominated by multiple employees for her willingness to go above and beyond for our members and FCCU family.
One nominee said, “Alex works with a passion that anyone who talks to her can see. She truly wants what is best for the members while keeping the credit union's best interests in mind. She works with integrity and compassion. If she says she will do something there is no question that she will see it through.”
The next award is our Volunteer of the Year award. In recent years, FCCU launched a volunteer program where employees track the number of hours they volunteer outside of work. Whether it is helping at church, coaching, or volunteering at local events, FCCU encourages, recognizes and rewards staff who are involved in their communities.
Brianna Tabor, Mortgage Loan Officer in Jamestown and Valley City, has been recognized as the 2024 Volunteer of the Year. Brianna found several ways to contribute to the community including her work with High Plains Association of Realtors, FCCU events, community events in Jamestown and Valley City, Pingree-Buchanan School and more. Over the course of 2024, she volunteered more than 90 hours of her time to her communities!
Steve Davis, Senior Vice President of Mortgage, had this to say about Brianna’s community involvement, “Brianna is very active in serving the Jamestown and Valley City communities. She has developed a strong network through her volunteer efforts and is a wonderful ambassador for First Community Credit Union. She is extremely deserving of this award and I’m proud of what she has been able to accomplish.”
Over the course of 2024, FCCU staff accumulated and tracked over 2,100 hours of volunteer time, proving what a focus this is for our staff and company.
Just like our brand and culture here at FCCU are valuable, so are the employees who work here. The FCCU Volunteer of the Year and Living the Brand awards are a simple way to recognize our employees for their dedication to our communities and our credit union.
Thank you, Alex and Brianna, for all your hard work and congratulations on your much deserved recognition!
