84th Annual Meeting Held

03/22/2023

FCCU held its 84th Annual Meeting on March 20, 2023. Speeches were given by our President/CEO, Steve Schmitz, Board President, Owen Olson and CFO, Sean Rinkenberger, with a crowd of around 90 members, board of directors and staff in attendance.

Two positions on FCCU’s Board of Directors need to be filled. They are three year terms. This year, the two people running are incumbents, Sandy Franke and Colin Wegenast. As directed by the by-laws, the vacancies were filled by acclamation at the Annual Meeting.

President Steve Schmitz reported that 2022 was another busy year for FCCU. In his message, Steve notes, “We still felt the lingering effects of Covid, primarily dealing with historic inflation which hasn’t been seen since 1970s. High inflation is a difficult environment for a credit union to work through as it creates a lot of unknowns. But despite all of this, we moved forward and had a successful year. We ended the year with a regulatory net worth at nearly 13%, which puts FCCU in the top 12% of all the largest credit unions in the entire country. Proof of 84 years of hard work and dedication by our employees and members.”

Attendees of the meeting received the 2022 Annual Report, which highlights activities, management, and financials of the last year for the Credit Union. Click here to view the 2022 Annual Report.
