Celebrating Our Young Professionals: Meet Molly

05/17/2022

Earlier this year, we began a new quarterly blog series featuring topics related to careers in the financial industry. This quarter, FCCU will be featuring FCCU Young Professionals in the Workplace. FCCU is proud to employ 150 GenZ and Millennials! That means over 50% of the FCCU workforce is made up of young men and women that are making a difference each day.

Meet Molly, Consumer Loan Processor at our Headquarters and our third young professional spotlight this month.

What is your role at FCCU?
I am a Consumer Loan Processor. I am behind the scenes of the loan. I ensure the loan is correct from start to finish.

How did you choose the career you wanted to go into?
I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers even when it’s a bit challenging.  When the position became available I decided it would be a great way to challenge myself and see where it could take me.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
The satisfaction of knowing we are helping people whether it be helping them reach their goals/dreams; such as getting a camper to travel the world or simply just helping someone who is struggling and trying to better themselves.

What do you enjoy about working at FCCU?
The people, such great communication and respect for one another. I enjoy knowing that if I ever have any questions I can rely on anyone to help me, especially within my department.

Who is a mentor you've had in your career?
I would say my boss, Kelly and the entire loan processing department. They’re very attentive and willing to help in anyway possible. This team has helped me better understand my role within FCCU.

What advice would you give a young professional just starting out in their career?
Always be eager and willing to learn new things. Be a sponge and absorb as much knowledge as you can, never be afraid to ask questions! Most importantly be confident, we are all full of so much more potential than we give ourselves credit for.
