FCCU Receives Credit Union National Award for Marketing


The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) recently awarded the 2021 recipients of the Marketing and Business Development Diamond Awards. FCCU was awarded a Diamond Award for the category of “Complete Campaign” at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Conference.

“The Diamond Awards competition is the most prestigious competition for excellence in marketing and business development in the credit union industry,” said Amy McGraw, diamond awards chair and VP marketing/chief experience officer at Tropical Financial CU. “Credit unions that receive these awards should be extremely proud of their accomplishments and know that their work represents the very best examples of creativity, innovation, relevance and execution.”

FCCU received recognition for their recent “Life is Better with Community” campaign, a campaign targeted to increase brand awareness, show member appreciation and support local communities and businesses. The campaign included weekly giveaways purchased from local businesses, FCCU member testimonial videos, volunteering activities and more. The avenues of communication for the campaign included social media, TV ads, emails, mailers, posters and more.

“We’re honored to receive this national award for our campaign,” said Katie Nehl, FCCU Communications Manager. “Our brand slogan of ‘Life is Better with Community’ is something our staff at FCCU tries to uphold in the way we do business and how we support our communities, so for us to be recognized for this, is humbling.”
