A Message from Our President in 2022

01/06/2022

2021 was another busy year for FCCU. We started off the year processing millions of dollars in PPP loans, that were being put to use by our business owners in our local communities. The home refinance boom continued in 2021 and these recent successes resulted in FCCU creating a new sub-brand, FCCU Home Loans. Additionally in 2021, we saw tremendous asset growth, hitting a major milestone of $1 Billion in assets. To put that in perspective, it took us 50 years to reach $100 million as a credit union. It took us another 20 years to reach $300 million and just in the past 12 years, we've grown $750 million.

In 2021, we proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of our new Northland facility, next to NDSU, as we replaced our 100 year old facility and we began construction on the remodel of our Devils Lake branch. We also celebrated several awards, as we were named Top 50 Best Work Places to Work in the region by Prairie Business Magazine, Top 10 Best Places to Work by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network and Best Financial in Jamestown.

One exciting announcement for our credit union is that we start off the year by welcoming Elm River Credit Union into our FCCU community through a merger. Elm River has been a very well run credit union and will be joining into FCCU as their CEO retires after 33 years. We want to extend a heartfelt welcome to our new members and employees from Page and Kindred, as we all become one credit union, one family.

Looking ahead into 2022, our new Mandan branch is scheduled to opens in early spring. With this new branch, we look forward to being a part of the Mandan community. Later in the year, our members can expect the remodel completion of our Devils Lake branch in fall of 2022.

Thank you to our members, employees and board of directors for all their support both in 2021 and each and every year!
